Here’s what comes to mind for me based on what people know about dealing with pathological narcissists: One should flee relationships/limit contact when they have to explain basic concepts like right and wrong to other adult human beings. The issue of human dignity for diverse populations should not even be up for debate if any person has a basic conscience. This may mean having to ask whether investment in whiteness itself (in any role to support oppression) requires obliterating one’s conscience. If so, this is something white people truly need to deal with among and within themselves, individually and collectively. No one black or brown can do anything more than what has already been done, to help white people overcome their blindness stemming from racial group narcissism.
